Responsibilities

  • Client Understanding: Deeply understand each client's academic level, subject area, institutional requirements, and research objectives to deliver tailored writing support.

  • Research Support: Conduct thorough literature reviews, identify credible sources, and provide structured research frameworks that guide clients through the academic writing process.

  • Deliverables: Produce or assist in producing high-quality academic documents — including research proposals, literature reviews, methodology chapters, full theses, dissertations, journal articles, and academic essays — that meet institutional and formatting standards (APA, Harvard, MLA, Chicago, etc.).

  • Communication: Clearly explain research concepts, writing structures, and feedback to clients using simple, encouraging language that builds their academic confidence and independence.

Requirements

  • A portfolio demonstrating experience producing or editing well-structured, polished academic documents across multiple disciplines

  • 5+ years of experience in academic writing, thesis supervision, editing, or a related role

  • Excellent written communication and proofreading skills

  • Familiar with current academic writing conventions, citation styles, and plagiarism standards

  • Ability to work across multiple subject areas including Sciences, Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, and Business

  • Strong ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously, meet deadlines, and prioritise independently

  • Demonstrated track record of helping students or researchers successfully complete and submit academic work

  • A Master's or PhD degree in any field (or equivalent professional academic writing experience)

  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Word, Turnitin, Grammarly, Zotero, Mendeley, and Google Scholar
